A Flute Symphony

Most of the time
I don’t understand
the nature of my heart.
Most of the time
there is a battle in me
where I have to fight to survive.
It never ends, it’s a day-to-day
occurrence. And I know
that it will go on and on;
I guess, and I am afraid,
for as long as I’m alive.

Life is a hard struggle,
an endless battle;
It brings much misery,
but it also helps me.
It made me strong.
Its pain made me realized
why I need You.
And this may sound cliche,
an overused line,
but this is so true;
I am a lost soul
without You.

So I beg You,
even if I wander around
and most of the time
an arrogant fool,
please stay with me,
Oh please don't leave me.
So that on that day,
when I'll exude
my last breath,
when I have found
my body's final resting place;
on my bed of death,
when all my senses had ceased,
it will be but a rest. This lowly life
after all was not a total waste,
but a testimony of victory.
And I shall dance to the sound
of a flute's symphony,
for You are with me.
