Lost Command

We are lost,
we are turned around.
Over and over, again and again,
we are turned and lost completely. 

We searched but
we never found ourselves.

We remain as we are: lost.

Because we don’t even try

to uncover the self

where the answer is

to our problems lie.

....

  Thus, we never learn.
And we never see
that which is important
but we don’t seek
remains missing at sea.
No one is more foolish.
No one is more unfortunate.
The search for happiness
is everyone’s quest.
But that is freedom,
and this is the reason:
why we are  here,
why do we all suffer.
To ask no questions,
to want  no answer,
and even though the answer
resides at rest within us,
We'd rather search
for it on the moon, and
in places far away.
